4 Ways To Refresh, Revitalise And Rejuvenate Your Home

Not everyone has a huge budget to revamp their whole house with new additions and large-scale alterations.

So, if you’re looking to give your property a more stylish, modern feel, here are 4 ways to refresh, revitalise and rejuvenate your home.

1. Hire a specialised spraying service

Kitchens are the heart of a home. Revitalising and modernising this central hub is a great place to start invigorating your home. Spraying your windows is another good way to brighten the frames, and make your property look clean, tidy and refreshed.

Not everyone can afford a full refurbishment, but spraying aspects of your home is a cost-effective way to breathe new life into your worn-down surfaces. Whether you want a quaint, classic cottage aesthetic or are looking for something more minimalist, you can remodel your home without breaking the bank.

When revamping your property, you want a company you can trust. Here at We Spray, we take our time on each job – and only work on a select few at a time – for a high-quality finish on all our projects.

From indoor furniture to outside cladding, we can spray a range of materials. Take a look at our gallery for some inspiration. We aim for a quick turnaround too, so you can get back to your daily routine sooner than you thought.

2. Add a splash of colour

Adding a new colour can transform an entire room, and it’s always a good idea when you want to mix things up a bit. Whether you want to go all out and cover your walls bright yellow or you prefer the subtler approach of accessories, playing around with a range of colours can make your home feel fresh and contemporary.

If you’d like to inject a bit of personality, experiment with cushions, curtains and chandeliers to quickly and effortlessly change the look and feel of your home. Add bold, vibrant rugs or throws to make your room pop without being too overbearing.

But if, after a long day at work, you want to come home to a relaxing, harmonious atmosphere, rejuvenate your room by using a common colour throughout. By incorporating furniture and finishing touches that complement each other in terms of tone, you’ll be able to unify the whole space.

3. Reuse and rearrange your furniture

Create a completely new room, without spending a penny. By reusing or rearranging old furniture that you have in storage, or elsewhere within your home, you can create a distinctive atmosphere.

It might not seem like much, but having a move around has been found to improve productivity, alertness and mood. Your brain becomes used to your environments when they look the same for too long – so trick it into thinking you’re in a new, more interesting space with a few simple adjustments.

Get your creative head on, and think about how you could create a stylish, co-ordinated room with your existing furniture. An old chair from the dining room could add a vintage touch to your vanity table, for example, or you could incorporate colour with the rug that’s been collecting dust under your bed. For another option, coat your existing furniture in a fresh colour and/or finish.

4. Let more light in

An easy way to immediately brighten and freshen up a room is by letting more sunlight in. Get rid of your bulky, heavy curtains, and swap them with lighter, gauzy materials. By doing this, you ensure your windows aren’t obscured by dark drapes.

Reflective surfaces are always a good bet when it comes to increasing the amount of natural light within your room too. By hanging more mirrors or opting for glass or polished metal furniture, you’ll be able to effectively double the amount of light coming into your room in an instant. Another trick that we recommend is to opt for a gloss spray finish, which reflects light well and has the same effect.

Bear in mind that the lighter the colour you go for, the more the light will be reflected. We’ve noticed a recent trend with our customers replacing darker, wooden items with bright whites and pale greys to accentuate brightness.

Not every room gets enough natural light, though, and when the nights get longer during the winter months, you’ll need to keep your spirits up. By brightening up your living space through artificial lighting, you can keep that summer feel, even in the middle of January. Invest in a sunlight lamp to mimic the rising and setting of natural light. With proven health benefits, you’ll be able to improve your mood whilst giving your room a radiant boost.
