Pristine uPVC Window Spraying

The colour, consistent finish and immaculate quality of your window frames is a huge source of pride in your property. Our uPVC window spraying and window frame painting services are guaranteed to renew your windows, using a multi-coat solution to create a more diverse or unified aesthetic for the property.

First, we take the silicone away. Next, we clean and scotch the surface. Then we mask the surroundings, before ‘mist coating’ the window and spraying at least three more coats for an even appearance. When silicone is reapplied, it’s the best fit for the paint tone.

We have done countless window resprays in our time, including hundreds of frames for leading window fabricators. We’re experts at it, and the results will last for a minimum of 10 years.

    Why We Spray?

Brand new windows are expensive. For a fraction of the price, you can restore and revitalise the appeal of your existing frames. We know what we are doing and we use the best coating and equipment. We are trusted by leading uPVC manufacturers to spray their brand new products.

uPVC doesn’t stay white, the UV light fades it over time. Our coating not only changes the colour but also forms a protective barrier from UV light so there will never be any discoloration or fading. We guarantee the coating for 10 years for cracking and peeling as well as fading. The first coat will bond to the immaculate, keyed surface that we will create with preparation and then the subsequent layers will bond to each previous layer to form a robust finish.

How do we spray a window?

    Intro

Before our team attend to spray a job sheet is produced outlining how we will handle the job in the least disruptive and effective manner for both us and you, the customer. We’ll evaluate the number of windows, amount of silicone, scaffolding requirement and material to be sprayed.

Every house has a unique plan and after spraying over 5000 jobs to date, the planning gets more effective every time.
We always send a confirmation email logging all the detail that’s has discussed. Additional advisories may occasionally apply; these will be noted on the agreement. The sprayers will then be able to see these instructions, ensuring that they are completely aware of the entire process.

    Step 1

The first thing the team do upon arrival is start removing all silicone from around the windows. There is no coating that will adhere to silicone so its really important that every last bit of silicone is removed before the rest of the process begins.

If the house is rendered then there isn’t usually any silicone to remove.

    Step 2

We will then scotch the surface to ensure that the coating will bond into the surface rather than sitting on top of it. This not sanding so it won’t scratch the upvc it will just key it.

This is such an important part of the process along with the cleaning as if there is anything left on the surface to interfere with the bond the coating will then just lift over time.

    Step 3

Preparation then begins to ensure that all areas that are not being sprayed are covered. The team will carefully mask all the windows and surrounding brickwork. If we are also spraying the windows internally then the majority of those rooms will be covered.

The two main materials we use to prepare windows is brown paper and masking tape. The strength of the masking tape will depend on the brickwork or render. We use low tack inside but outside we usually use stronger tape.

We will then clean the surface with panel wipe to ensure that there is no dust or debree before spraying. We will blow off any dust that is sitting on the surface from the scotching process.

    window-steps-3

    Step 4

The spraying can then commence. We will spray the hidden lips of the window openers to begin with so we can then almost close the windows and spray everything else. There will be a dust coat applied first which will highlight any areas that may need to be scotched or cleaned again.

If all this fine we will finely spray a second and third coat.

    window-steps-4

    Step 5

Once all spraying has finished and all areas are checked then we will take down all the paper and tape.

The final step is to re-silicone around the UPVC and we will order silicone to match the colour of the spray.

The finished result will look like brand new windows and they will be guaranteed for 10 years for fading, discoloration, cracking and peeling.
