In almost every case, yes. Howdens supply doors in a range of finishes (painted, wood grain, matt, gloss and vinyl-wrapped) and our teams spray all of them. If your doors are vinyl-wrapped and the wrap has started to lift or bubble (a common issue as wrapped doors age), we can remove it first and spray the door beneath.
The only time we’d steer you away from spraying is if your kitchen is not in a good enough condition to be spray painted and if that’s the case, we’ll tell you honestly rather than take the job.

Any colour you like. We colour-match to RAL and Farrow & Ball, so whether you want a classic Anthracite Grey, a soft sage, a deep navy, a warm cream or a bold black, we can spray it. We can also do two-tone kitchens — for example darker base units with lighter upper units, or a contrasting island — and choice of sheen from matt through to low gloss. Satin is our most popular sheen.

The Spraying Process
- Get an estimate — send photos or a video of the items to be sprayed and your postcode for a free estimate.
- Arrange a visit — if you are happy with our estimate and are within around an hour of our base in Stockport, we can arrange to visit you in person. If you are based further away, we can arrange a video call to discuss your spray and to answer your queries.
- Booking in — if you choose to go ahead with your spray, we will find a suitable date and we will send a thorough confirmation by email or post. We will request payment of a 10% deposit within 7 days of reserving a date.
- Preparation — on the day of your spray, we mask off your walls, worktops, floors and appliances, then clean and key every door, drawer and panel so that the coating bonds properly. Where vinyl wrap is lifting, we remove it first.
- Spraying — we apply the colour in even coats with professional equipment, on site, for a smooth, durable finish.
- Finishing — we remove all masking, refit everything and tidy up fully, leaving you with a kitchen that looks new.
Because the work is done on site and carefully masked, the disruption is minimal and most kitchens are finished in a day.
