Pre-Painted Kitchen Spray Feedback

Yes, we can usually respray kitchens that have been previously painted. We do need to evaluate the existing paint prior to agreeing to complete a kitchen respray on a pre-painted kitchen as such kitchens do require more preparation than when spraying an unpainted kitchen. For the vast majority of painted kitchens that we visit to take a closer look at, we are able to go ahead with booking in that spray for our talented Spray Painters to work their magic.

Below is a kitchen respray that we carried out over two days last week. Our customers contacted us to arrange for their kitchen to be resprayed as the previous homeowner had painted the kitchen but that paint was beginning to come away.

Kitchen Colour Sprayed

Our customers chose to have their kitchen painted in a colour match to Mykonos Reflections by Valspar. This is the third time that we have had the opportunity to spray this beautiful blue colour.

Kitchen Sheen Sprayed

Our customer’s kitchen was resprayed in a 30% satin sheen. We do also offer 10% matte and 70% low gloss sheens however satin is the finish that we complete almost all of our sprays in and the sheen that we most recommend.

Kitchen Option Sprayed

We offer 3 kitchen spray options. Option 1 includes the fronts and edges of the cupboards and drawers, option 2 includes the fronts and backs of the cupboards and drawers and option 3 includes the full internals of the carcasses. Whichever option is chosen, all external visible areas of the kitchen such as the plinths, cornices and pelmets will be spray painted. Our customers chose option 2 for their kitchen transformation, as pictured below. Option 2 is our most popular spray option.

Our Spray Technician Emma carried out this transformation. Emma has been with We Spray uPVC for almost 6 years now and she has a whopping 17 years’ spray painting experience! We are sure that you will agree that she has done a fabulous job in transforming our customers’ kitchen. To find out more about Emma and our other team members, you can click here.

Further Details relating to Spraying this Pre-Painted Kitchen

When our teams spray paint kitchens, they scotch the items to be painted prior to applying our coating. This blog post explains the preparation that our teams carry out when spraying a standard kitchen. When spraying an already painted kitchen, our teams usually also have to sand the items to be sprayed and apply primer to those, to strengthen the surface to be sprayed and to give a smoother finish.

Ideally, customers would contact us to have their kitchens sprayed without their kitchen having been previously painted (as this enables our paint to bond with the original surface and a flawless finish to be achieved) however as with this customer, this is not always possible. Customers often contact us as they have had a DIY attempt at painting their kitchen before deciding that it is best to have their kitchen professionally painted. Whilst the best finish can be achieved when spraying items that have not been painted before, we can still achieve a great finish when respraying painted items, it is just that this takes our teams additional time and is therefore more costly.
