Can You Spray Paint on uPVC Front Doors?

Yes, we can! As well as uPVC front doors, we also spray aluminium doors, composite doors and wooden doors. You can find out more about our door spraying service by clicking here. Most of the door sprays that our Spray Technicians complete are of the outside of the door. We do also spray the insides of front doors. As you will see from the photos below, some customers choose to have their front door sprayed without the frame being sprayed whereas other customers choose to have the frame sprayed too (in either the same colour as that chosen for the spray of their door or in a second colour).

Front Door Spraying Cost

If you are wondering how much does it cost to have a front door sprayed, an estimate would be £250 plus VAT without the frame or £300 plus VAT with the frame. When we spray the door frame too, we remove any existing silicone and replace it with silicone to match your chosen colour. For an accurate door spray quotation, please get in touch, providing a photo of the door to be sprayed along with your location, so that we can calculate the travel time from our spray booth in Stockport.

Spraying Cost vs Door Installation Cost

Check a Trade provide estimates for the cost of a new front door. Their estimates for wooden door replacements are £550-£1,800, for composite doors £750-£1,400 and for uPVC doors £580-£1,200. Their estimate for the labour cost of installing a door is £500-£1,000 and these estimates do not include the cost of the door frame or accessories, such as weather bars. Having a front door spray painted is therefore a much more affordable alternative to having a front door replaced.

How Long Does uPVC Spraying Last?

When we spray paint a front door, we can often guarantee that our coating will not crack, peel, fade or discolour for 10 years. Exclusions to this guarantee are doors that have been previously painted since they were installed or external wooden doors. The paint that we spray would usually bond direct with the surface being sprayed, which is what makes it so reliable. Where a door has already been painted, our paint would sit on top of that original layer of paint instead and so that is why we cannot guarantee that the paint will last for 10 years on pre-painted doors. We cannot guarantee our paint on external wooden items due to wood being a natural material, meaning that it can unfortunately deteriorate due to the weather.

Front Door Spray Colours

Below are photos of over 70 different colours that we have spray painted doors in over the years, including colour matches to Farrow and Ball colours, RAL colours and to other brands.

  • Farrow and Ball Door Colours

  • RAL Door Colours

  • Other Door Colours

All of the above photos can be clicked on for you to see the colour in greater detail. When a customer books to have their door sprayed by our team, we post out tester pots of the colours that they like the look of (so long as we have those colours in stock) for them to see what the colour looks like in person, as we understand that it can sometimes be difficult to choose a colour based on photos.
